Love Connect ("we", "us", or "the app") is a private space for couples to nurture their bond through shared memories, love notes, daily prompts, and milestones. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely as a hash) used to create and access your Love Connect account.
• Profile information: your display name and any details you add to your profile.
• Shared memories & photos: images and captions you upload to your shared memory grid.
• Messages between partners: love notes and daily prompt responses you and your partner write to each other.
• Milestones: titles, dates, descriptions, and emoji you record on your relationship timeline.
• Usage data: basic, anonymous analytics about how the app is used to help us improve it.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain your shared couple space and the features within it.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To send you service-related notifications (such as an invitation from your partner).
• To diagnose issues and improve the app's performance and reliability.

3. Device permissions

Love Connect runs inside a secure app shell and may request the following permissions on your device:

• Photos / media storage: only when you choose to add a photo to a memory. We access only the image you select; we do not scan or upload your entire photo library.
• Internet access: required to load and sync your shared content.

We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or send push notifications unless you explicitly grant permission and use a feature that requires it.

4. How we store and share your data

Your content is stored securely on the platform's servers and is associated with your account. Your memories, notes, and milestones are shared only with the partner you invite to your shared space. We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for advertising. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, hosting and analytics), only as needed and under appropriate data-protection terms.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion, we remove your content (memories, notes, milestones) and schedule your account and remaining profile data for permanent deletion, typically within 30 days. Some anonymous, aggregated data may be retained for analytics.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Your rights & account deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Account settings → Delete my account. When you do, your shared content is removed and a deletion request is created for processing. You may also contact us to request deletion.

8. Children's privacy

Love Connect is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy within the app and updating the "last updated" date above.
